Well after taking some time off we are moving forward and would like suggestions on what can to run based on what we have, here is what we have:302 roller 0.030 over, Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, Air Gap intake, Holley/Proform 750 CFM double pumper, 1 5/8 tube Hedman headers.

What cam do ya'll recommend to make the most out of this set up, also I will be sending the carb off for jetting and flow testing to match the motor just need a cam, so what do ya'll think, all answer appreciated.

P.S. short block is stock other than the .30 over

I would suggest...call any cam company and give them the motor, transmission rear gear and any other info they ask for and they can recommend the right cam...JMO

What do you plan to do with the car? Drag race or street driving? Big difference in parts depending on usage.

I would suggest calling a couple of your favorite cam companys and talking to them.

I would also suggest a smaller carb with vacuum secondaries if it's a street car . 600 cfm is plenty for a 302 unless you are really turning it hard all the time.

ive ran the ford f303 cam with the rpm heads and they work really well together.

Exactly what I did when I called Comp Cams. They asked me everything about my engine as it was being built, compression, carburation, exhaust, trans, rear etc. After the cam was chosen, they even suggested that I needed to go deeper in my gearing due to the range of the cam :thumbs2:

    carb

yes I realize that carb is overkill but I thought it could be jetted to work well, the car will be a daily driver BUT it is going to the strip some also.

I got a deal on the 750 is why I thought I would use it, in fact I have ended up with a 1972 4 door Mav in excellent shape, it's a 6 cylinder automatic and no rust except the hood, all parts in super condition, interior is immaculate.

I'm really shocked at the condition of the car, it runs and drives, has the original hubcaps, original paint (although needs a good buffing as it is oxidized)

I bought it and a long block roller with 10k on motor and the 750 carb and a Torker intake for....are you ready? $900

Figured we would use it for parts car then sell off what we don't need however the little car is so nice I almost want to drive it, if it had ac I probably would make it my little daily driver....I'll attach pics later.
