I'm sure others have had to change their valve stem seals one time or another but I'm having trouble finding a valve spring compressor tool that isn't over 100$. Any help?

Here is what I used. Cheap, simple.

I also used a compression tester fitting in my spark plug holes, hooked up to my air compressor to keep the valves pushed up against the block while I pried down with this tool, otherwise the valve may fall down into the cylinder.

Other guys have shoved rope into their cylinders to keep the valves up.

I bought the one MaverickDan suggested, worked as designed but I found it a little finicky. I replaced my valve seals and used the rope method at TDC on my 200. I’ll likely go with a different tool next time, that said, you can’t really go wrong for $10 bucks either.

What are you finding that costs a hundred bucks?!?!? My Jessel/T&D shaft rocker tool didn't even cost that.
