    I have a 180* t-stat and 165* is the hottest it got at 90 mph for 7 or 8 miles in 90+* weather with a C4. I since took the fan shroud off...now I have a t5 and I stay around 2000 at 80 mph instead of 3600 rpm

ok, thanks guys. Im rocking 2500 at 68-ish. it got hot once or twice but not over 210. Im pretty sure i have some blocakge in the radiator. I took the 195 out and put in a 180. around town, its dead at 180 degrees all the time. long runs on the interstate it climbbed a bit. Afterwards, I did stuff some flush/cleaner in there after i manually backflushed the system a few times. fluids staying clean but the car sat a LONG time. IE: its a 76 and had 45,000 original miles on it.

so, hopefully it broke some of that crap up in the radiator. if not, i'll just get anew one i suppose, they are pretty cheap.

fwiw the radiator has been in for afew days and the temp is steady at 180. radiator bolted right in no fuss.

was a b-day gift from the wife, so that's nice. saved me 145 bucks. of course i just spent over 2k on motor stuff for her 72 maverick's 302. :hmmm:

as long as mamas happy i suppose >:comet:
