Who has purchased any of the Custom Autosound AM/FM radios with twin knobs on Ebay that fit in our Comet/Maverick bezels? Some are just radios. Another has a CD player, while a third has a CD changer. I am thinking I want the radio with the CD player, but need to know if they are worth the money. They are quite pricey compared to buying, let's say, a good Clarion (but having to make it work in the bezel). Do they sound good? Thoughts and experiences?

Ron , I would buy one a car stereo from Crutch Field before ebay. Clarion is very nice .
Those are way to pricy for my blood.

I have installed them at work, they sound OK..... All the cars I have put them in are restorations and customers want a stock type look, most are with stock type speaker configurations in older cars..... I don't know how they would sound with good speakers and amp, all they cars we do that the customers want good sound we do full custom stereo installations on there build.....

I was looking at the ones on ebay and the digital display seems like it lights up where it shouldn't. Some things might be better upgraded to modern..

I will ad to the consensus....get an aftermarket head unit. Pioneer...Kenwood....any good head unit. I also like Crutchfield. Ask for "Outlet" pricing....you get a better price.

Everything lit up like it suppose to but the first time I sent it back was because the sound would only play on left side, second time sound wouldn't play on back speakers...only thing was worst than that was the customer support....

I put one on my bike and it's not bad at all. The tuning kinda sux though, would have preferred one with a digital readout, but I use an SD card anyway most of the time.

Custom Autosound = Junk. Do some google search on reviews. Horrible products.

    I like their dash speaker.
