After the end of this week. I am transfering schools, and moving into a house back home. Internet is slow at best, but I will try to pop in and check up on ya'll now and then. Hopefully I will have some progress to report when I get back on a regular basis again. I start work next week on a Ranch over in Bon Weir, Texas (I'll actually be a real cowboy again ) so I'm looking forward to that. I'm only going to school 2 days a week this semester, so I'm working on my days off. I'll also be kinda training for a possible job. Don't know if any of ya'll are familiar with oilfield work, but I'm thinking of getting into contract pumping. A friend of mine who has been doing this for 50+ years (he's 76) makes 500 dollars a day, 365 days a year. That's the only catch is that it's a 7 day a week job, morning and evening. I realize that I won't be making that at the start if I do get into Contract pumping, but it's nice to know that it's possible. So I have a lot going on right now. This semester (or the one before this one) didn't go so hot, so I am just going to try and regroup. So far I have hated everything I have tried as far as a major, so I am going to give this a shot. It's more hands on work which is more to my liking anyway. I hate being cooped up inside (I've always been the outdoors guy-hence the name) So hopefully life will improve here shortly; I'm gonna give it a shot anyway. So like I said I'll be in and out this week, but after that I'll be scarce. If anybody ever wants to shoot the breeze call me at 337-842-9936. Or if I can ever do anything for any of ya'll, just give me a hollar. I found a coupla Mavs for parts that I'm gonna go get here pretty quickly. (I hope) So maybe I can help in that department. Later guys and gals......Take care- Preston
preston, good luck to you. wish you the best. let us know when your making the big bucks. we may need to hit you up for a loan. keep in touch.
I envy you Preston, always thought I should have been a cowboy type when I lived in Nebraska. Would rather be outside too. Sorry to hear about school, but sometimes we have to follow our hearts. I see more grad's in low paying jobs than the high ones. Those that do follow through and really know the career they want, do get the big bucks. Maybe you can still attend some classes or even internet learning sites. Whatever you do, always strive to do the best you can and have fun doing it. Good luck and we will all be pulling for you.
Better to try something now, than to go on like you are and possibly be miserable and wondering, What If? I can surely relate to the need to be outside, never did like being cooped up. Good Luck! It'll all work out.....eventually.
jump on it dude! best of luck. the only way to get on your feet is get up off your a$$. nuthin ventured nuthin gained.. all them clique (or how ever the hell you spell it) apply here. stay in touch.
Follow your heart Preston, it won't let you down. Working with your hands gives you a feeling that you can't get pushing a pencil. Best of luck to you. Russ
Well, I'm gone folks. It's been fun, and I'll be back sometime. Ya'll take care, and feel free to call. Bye for now...............Country Mav
