    Flip it the other way and install under the steering column?
    I haven't had mine stripped apart yet but it kinda looks like that's where it would go.

    Good question! I just went out and looked, and I have nothing in my car that looks like that. Possibly a seat belt cover? the only thing on my 74 close to it is the color! :hmmm:

    It goes between the two doors on a 4-door car.

    That would explain it. Never even seen a 4 doors interior. :tiphat:

    Problem solved. I will avoid guessing in the future, felt like a shoe when I heard where it really went.:biglaugh:
