It's time to get the wipers working on this Mav. So here's what I've got: Hit the wiper switch and I hear a hum. I think the motor's moving, but nothing else is. Passenger wiper is frozen in the middle of the windshield. Driver side moves wherever I want it to, 'cause it's loose. I can pull it completely out and the shaft it's attached to will come out with it. That shaft appears to have some damage on the end too. Stripped, maybe? I suspect I'm going to need to replace at least part of this assembly. What's involved here? Dash pad needs to come off I guess? The whole dash? Or do I go under it? Thanks for your help!
Here is how a Maverick was assembled: 1. The body shell was welded together 2. Windshield wiper assembly was installed 3. Rest of the car was assembled Seriously....it can be quite a job as a lot of the interior has to be disassembled. If you need a working wiper assembly (motor, inside arms, ect)....I can help you. Email me directly (see below) if I can help.
likewise, I have a complete assemble for sale that works great. email me okibonoe@yahoo.com if craigs is too perfect lol
Alright cool... So it looks like I won't have any trouble getting the parts. I'm not sure what parts I need yet, though. Can anybody tell me what it takes to get to the wiper assembly so I can check it out? Or does this job suck so bad that I'm better off buying the whole rig so I don't have to dig into it twice?
Wow. Well, looks like I have quite a project on my hands. Hopefully it's not too messed up under there... Thanks, guys.
