Same Problem Hello everybody, I'm new to the site, but I've been a Maverick junky for 20 years. I just repaired the same problem on my Maverick. What happened was a previous owner had spliced in a new turn signal socket and wired the parking light power wire to the ground wire in the socket. So when the parking lamps were on it was backfeeding power to the turn signal indicator. Since your problem was with the brake lights I would double check the brake\parking lamp socket.
