sticky throttle

    when i drive my mav it seems like the gas peddle sticks when i take off, but it doesnt do it when the car isnt on ive spayed the heck out the linkage and still is doing i know u guys can help me have on every other prob thanks tom

    Mine did this awhile back. I wound up changing the throttle cable. My old one had a burr on it and this caused it to stick. Wouldn't stick everytime, but when it did............So I changed it. Good Luck!! Preston

    you can get a replacement throttle cable kit from checker, autozone, whatever....i got one when i did my swap...

    i think it was like 19.99

    took cable lose and checked it doesnt seem to be sticking but like i said only does it when car is running when i shut it off moves easy and doesnt stick

    if it only does it when running...maybe a bad motormount or something of that nature "binding or kinking" it enough to feel sticky....if the engines still revin when you let of check the carb maybe leaking gas internally???just some thoughts from an overtired man
