Either the bulb is burned out, the fuse is blown, or the light switch is defective. Do any of the dash lights work?

If it is the Bulbs you can pick them up at Auto Zone or similar place. It is pretty easy to replace them. They are 194 Bulbs & I think it takes about 10 or 12 to replace all of them. There is a 2825 Bulb that you can use that is a little brighter. I would definitely check fuse first.

And to think, I have been driving around wihout my speedometer being lit up because I thought it wasn't supposed to be! :biglaugh: I heard that if it's not lit up that the cop can't give you a ticket for speeding at night. :drink:

Or maybe the Maverick was the only car ever made that did not have a lit up speedometer? :hmmm:

It makes me want to ask these 2 questions: Duster70 - How many cars have you driven at night? And of those cars, how many did not have the speedometer lit up? :16suspect

And they gave Duster70 a drivers license too. Just kidding with ya' man.

That stuff is funny, seriously I have no dash lights at all what is the best way to access the bulbs, Is the fuse for the dash lights part of another circuit? Or is there a fuse just for the dash lights, That fuse box is in a god awful spot, hard to see that tiny writing.
