Question: So let me get this straight, will the center "chunk" or "pumpkin" out of a 1973 Ford Mustang work for my Maverick? How about the 302 oil pan?

#2- Are the rear end gears in a 1972 302 Sprint any different from the other mavericks? I found a sprint, but it has suffered front end damage, so I'm gonna strip it. (Hey it's the only Maverick around here!) Thanks, Preston

Yes, the center "chunk" out of any older Mustang, as long as it is an 8 inch will fit in your Maverick. As far as the pans go, any 302 with a front sump oil pan will work perfectly with the 302 in your Mav. I think Mavaholic is referring to the rear interior panels to the sides of the rear seat. Sprints were the only ones that came in white, and I believe he is looking for another set.

yes preston the oil pan will fit......and if they both have the forward drop out center cection they will interchange.....but I do not know what gear ratio the sprint would have.....
