Shelby Tail Light mod

My 68 Shelby CA Special tail panel will be here tuesday, and I was curious for those that have done it - Do you have any advice prior to me doing this? Have any step by step pictures? Think the entire panel will fit with minor trimming? Any details will help.

Measure twice, and cut once.

 

I looked for Ray's photos, I know there's some copies around here somewhere. The main photo site he had the whole project on is long gone. Not a helpful reply, but I'm sure someone will dig them up.

 

This type of tail light?

 

I can find the pics via google that have already been completed, but I am looking for maybe some photos of it in progress to see what needs to be done. Trying to figure out a game plan before I start into it.

 

Not much to it, measure it out, and trim to fit.



Then weld.

 

Then figure out what tailights you want, stock, or LED...

 

Got the panel in. Was super easy, just need to do a few small things and it'll be done.
