re intro

    Hey, name's Jesse. Originally from Tennessee, now I'm in San Diego. Been in the navy for about 8 years. Just bought my second Maverick. 73 with a 302. Original for now. Even though I hate to take it at from its original state that's just not in my blood to drive a stock car. I've had a couple cobras both pushing over 600 to the wheels. I'm thinking a 408 Windsor will suffice. I'll try to use the search button a lot but every case is different and you guys seem to be happy to answer questions.

    Looks like an excellent foundation to build from. If you really want something different, build a 408 Clevor with a pair of CHI heads.

    The first order of business should be to lose the bumper guards. :yup:

    I can do that. I didn't know if those bolts actually held the bumper on or not. I need the older style bumper

    The bumpers that are on there are fine, just remove the "guards" and put chrome bumper bolts in the holes (you can steal the 2 from behind the license plate).
