Although up until a few days ago we have had a good winter here in NW Ohio, the Mav was put away a couple of months ago. Been spending my time putting together a "things to do list" and "what to buy" list. Haven't started anything at this time, but if history repeats itself and knowing me, I'll get started right around April and rush to get it completed...
Yep......here in the NW (Youngstown area - Austintown) snow fell but streets dry...actually had a little rain snow mix. Got the car stored over my son-n-laws/daughters garage....thinking about tearing out the seats and taking to the uphohster shop...going to have them made "all" vinyl...there the typical (original) vinyl/cloth combo.
All vinyl = cleans easily wipes off but you will sweat more on it.....vinyl/cloth = wicks in sweat to foam hard to clean but is a bit cooler to the touch so you see there is pros and cons to anything you choose.
You know, I considered the "Pro's" and "Con's" of vinyl vs. combo (cloth) but I think a nice vinyl or possibly some other material - naugahyde.....they still make naugahyde or is it now considered a "danger species", you know the "Nauga"...hmmm. Anyway I think the "full vinyl" will look better. As for "Where ?", I'm probably going to use Cyclone Seat Covers....original store/shop located in Youngstown, Ohio on Indianola Ave., and they now have another shop in Warren, Ohio. When I go down there, who knows...maybe I'll go "all cloth", but I know I'm getting rid of the "plaid" (original Maverick) cloth.
I agree w/ the all vinyl being a sweat maker. I went w/ the combo vinyl/cloth and vry happy w/ the summer comfort factor. I wud not go back to the original type seat coverings.
