well i was about 50 miles from my house last night comming back from maverick maniacs and the car had been running a little rough, trying to shut down every 5 seconds. Figured it was something electrical until i heard pop pop pop ticka ticka pop pop pop. Had some moon light but i mostly used my phone to take a peak. Bolt that held the coil on somehow unscrewed and left my coil hanging. No big deal (smog heads that need plugs or you will have an exhaust leak). Bolted the coil onto the waterpump, went to take off and couldnt get above 30 miles an hour on a 70 mph road:bananaman. Took another peak and found nothing wrong.

Met my parents in morgantown after traveling 30 miles and headed onto my road. Took the corner on my road and the car died. Felt like the carb was flooding and by the time i got to the road, i figured it was something elecrical. Floored it and took a look at my temp guage. It went up fast to 230 so i turned the car off to have a peak. Before i opened the door my temp guage was bouncing off 260:bs:. Took a peak and found my overflow jug full and boiling. Parents noticed milky oil on my valve cover comming out of the breather:16suspect. $40 tow home.

This morning i pulled off that valve cover and before i got it off, a rocker arm fell out HOLLY CRAP!!!!:yikes:

The exhaust pedestol rocker arm blot broke off inside the head. Push rod was in a weird position and bent a little. Intake pushrod was bent to hell:rolleyes::rofl::mg:Both head gaskets were blown and its going to take 350 bucks to fix:
    '
screw in studs on heads $100
    studs $40
4 new exhaust valves for that head (they are all short for some reason so they are going back to stock) $30
    gaskets $55
    oil $11
    K&N oil filter $11
    pushrods $50
    and mabey some spark plugs

My math may be wrong but im guessing something WILL go wrong

Dang car, I guess its my fault though for buying summit gaskets and not paying attention to my valve train problem.:hide:

    Pics to come!:dancing:

Yeh, but this time it will be done right. I just didnt have the money to spend a month ago. After this crap is situated, im off to find a good harness for this car. THis car has been hacked on for too long and 90% of it wasnt my fault. This $350s is my fault i guess although i did recieve the heads like this.

took heads and new valves to Pro Machine today(machine shop) and they clamed it would be around $150 for everything.

spent 95 bucks in oil and gaskets

forgot push rods, and oil filter.

Should i add anything to the oil since i had antifreeze in the block for a little while?

    I'd add a prayer.
Sorry that doesnt help but it sounded funny at the time.
Seriously I would change the oil a few times after it runs for a few minutes. Anti-freeze is really bad for bearings. Hopefully you didnt run it too long. You could try an engine flush but its controversial.

Cheap oil an cheap filter warm engine up and change oil an filter. Do same again, then put good oil an I like NAPA Gold {wix} filter, Good to go. K N filter to me is waste of $, but that`s my thinking. Good luck!

I agree with the guys posts above, hopefully we don't see another oh crap thread where the rod bearings are spun.

    Good luck

Looks like you found the spots where the head gaskets were leaking. Check to make sure that the surface of your block is flat as well as your heads.

OH CRAP!!!! Found out the drivers side valve isnt stock and is 1.50 and the passanger side is 1.54. They estimated about 350 bucks to just fix the head!!!

Im surfing the web trying to find some type of head other than stock.

on the bright side, the intake valve is 1.84!
