Car is NOT a 1973. It has 1974-1977 seat belts in it.

Insurance card that I found in the car dated for 1990 states its a 73. As for serious cancer, was meaning serious for a Arizona car. Also, as per the insurance card it was from the Phoenix area. From what I can gather, it must be a late 73. There is no other data plates on the car, other then the VIN number.

ive had 5 1973 model cars and none of them were 'late enough' to have those seat belts. i think someone swapped the VIN. check the top of the inner fenderwell where the fender bolts on to see if it still has the VIN stamping in it :)

i dont see anything in the front fender wells, but there is alot of dirt and some rust and paint. Is there anywhere else that will help me identify what yr this is, that way it will ease everybodies mind.

Both 8 and 9 look the same to an untrained eye. The 9" is more round...the 8" is more flat on the bottom and top. If you can put a socket on the bottom bolts then it's a 8"...if you can't then it's a 9" See: http://www.ridgenet.net/~biesiade/Fordrears.html

if you pull the passenger fender it should be on the top side, middle of the front apron, passenger side apron (top lip on the panel where the battery sits). It should be stamped in the metal.

pulled the fender and it was stamped 4K75253 that was all. I assume its a 74 due to the #4. feel better now that we got this arguement outta the way.
