Hi guys and gals, just joined the site today but have been watching the site now for some time, I just got all the parts for a disc brake conversion,so i'll be asking lots of questions, presently I have a 71 with a 302 mildly done , bored .040 with flat tops and gt-40 heads, alum.gt high rise 2 barrel intake with a 500 holley, and duels. works very well. but just won't stop. also have a 70 with a 200 6 and a 77 with a 250 , both I'am using for parts. anyway just wanted to say hello, living up on the east coast of canada i don,t see many maverick but i 'll try to save as many as i can. here is a picture of my 71.
Dittos on the welcome!!! Do have any other pics of your Maverick? Got any questions, feel free to ask.
welcome, maritime!you have found the best sight, for anything maverick,or comet, related.you couldn't ask for a better bunch of guys and gals,on a forum.nice looking mav by the way. again,welcome...chuck.
Welcome. Now, What is that dip in the lower body line, on the rear panel, under the gas cap. Is it an optical illusuon, reflection, or is it really there?
re:dip Good eye, yes the dip is there, and i don't know why,I all ways thought it was stock. or a stying option. the rear pan is original to the car. so does anyone have any input on it.
Look in the trunk on the backside. You should be able to tell if it was added. If not, its either extremely nice metal work, or you have one rare car.
Welcome Maritime, Always nice to hear of another Canuck on board. I'm from a small town near Hamilton Ontario, but I've visited your lovely province before, and may do ao again this summer. My brother in law lives near Halifax. Stick around. This is a great collection of people. By the way, nice car! John B.
dennis, what is john, talking about? i have never been collected in my life. is this a good thing? am i old enough to be a collectable? will i loose my individuality if i am a part of this collection? does this make me worth more now that i am part of a collection? it didn't hurt, as a mater of fact it feels good being part of this collection... thanks john b. ...frank...:bananaman :bananaman
Welcome to the board Maritime Mav.... I have to admit you don't find many rust free mavs back home. I am hoping to come back home this summer also..... my so called father lives in Canso and I am hoping to see some old friends but I don't think I will be bringing the Maverick though..... Jason
Welcome aboard!! Just know we're here for you whatever you need. I have a tie to Halifax, a couple old colleagues there from work days past. Nice car, also.
