I found a guy selling a MSD 5 ignition box for $35. I can't find much information on these and I know everyone usually used the 6ALs. Is this box worth it, or even any good? I'm about to drop in a mild 302.

its a very basic msd box. i believe it doesn't jump up the voltage as much as a 6 does. now a mild 302 probably would not notice the difference between a 5 and a 6 box. so that is a good deal if it works.

MSD 5 is for daily drivers and I believe its only good up to 6,000rpm.

I honestly think duraspark II is better than the 5.
