Just signed-up, looks like a great group.(y) Although I LOVE the body-style of the Comet/Mav, I prefer the idea of an inliner, although more cubes are good, too. Anyone know of any alloy 4.9L, 300 cu stright-6s mounted in Comet/Mavs? Any Austrailian/other cross-flow/multi-cammed heads?

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
There's been several Big Block 6s done, there's even a write up from the 70s of how to build a 11 second one. It's on fordsix.com. As for the Aussie head, I've only seen one done in these cars. There was also a Turbo 300 Maverick in a recent issue of PHR or Car Craft, cant remember which one.

As for multi cam, the one one i've seen is the spectre one with a Supra DOHC engine, but i've never seen one with a Aussie DOHC head. That would be so awesome, but also pricey.
