maverick gas cap??

    are all maverick gas caps the same

    i found one on ebay that says it fits a 71-77 maverick

    would that fit my 70?

    The 70 is a vented cap. The rest are nonvented.

    You could produce a vacuum in the tank that eventually the fuel pump could not overcome. Its easy to make a nonvented cap, vented. A few small stragically placed holes on the back side will work.
