Hello Ford fans: got a problem with my 302 v8 when making left turns engine seem to want to die; it's almost as if it stalls; wondering if its in my edelbrock carb (600) or if i have an electrical short in wiring; also still getting a burp in exhaust during cruising speeds (40 -50 mph) any help, please advice...Jdogmav

First thing I would check is the float level in the carb, get a book on that carb and it will tell you what the level and drop are supposed to be. Another thought I had was that maybe the fuel pickup in the tank is damaged. If you have a vacumm gauge, you can also check your fuel pump pressure. Should be 4 to 6 psi. But the main culprit is probably the carb and float adj. Are you running point dist? Have seen some that the primary wire was grounding to the base plate and killing the spark etc. Check all your electrical connections at the solenoid etc. Maybe Ken M. has some ideas too. Just thought of something else, could be in the steering column wiring. Good Luck with it anyway.
