    my first motor job was a "hoot" :D . i too took the motor apart in the car ( no hoist ). built the motor and went to crank it. pulled it up and down the road, just popped and spit. called a guy down the road and he asked if lined up the timming marks on the cam and crank:eek: . not a clue, didn't know there were marks. he also suggested checking the plug wires. i had them crossed :slap: . learned the firing order and still know it today.

    i try to teach my son the easy way to do things but he still wants to be hard headed :rolleyes:, his mom isn't hard headed so i wonder where he got it from :rolleyes: :rolleyes: ...frank...:bananaman :bananaman
