    even those idiots in manhattan who are protesting thank you. those towers used to be only 2 miles from where they are protesting. they may have forgotten, but i remember and thank you for committing yourself to protecting our way of life!

    Even after having served in the Navy, I can never think of anything to say to someone going off to war that doesn't sound totally corny (after all, I am not a poet). At any rate, here goes:

    May whatever God you believe in be with you, and those you serve with. You have done America proud just by volunteering to serve and protect us. Now do her proud again and come back safe as soon as possible. And, thank you for the service to our country.
