Here is where the car is at today. The dash is looking better than I thought it would although I have to recover it because I didn't buy enough meterial...2" short on one side. I'm still happy becuase this is a learning experience for me. The seal plate idea was stolen from Ward.....thanks Ward. I made the cover for the center register because I have decided to make my own design for the vents, probably using some cars plastic vents.

Yep the seats in back fold forward, and the dash is from me :D Completly my design using 94 thunderbird gauges

Very good work, is the dash steel?, did you put anything on it to "pad"?
    Padded vinyl?

You didn't happen to keep templates did you for the pieces of the dash?

nope no templates, and yes on padding 1/4" close cell foam glued to the surface and sim leather (flat balck vinyl) glued to that. Recomended by the fabric shop. I still have to make some trim pieces for the transition from vinyl to painted surface.

I think it's looking really good! I know it'll turn out to be unbelievable when you finish it, just like the rest of the car and your wife's car as well! So does your tach spin around twice?? :D I was thinking that with the engine you put in there that you'd need something to read a little higher?? Just curious! I think it's all coming together nicely. Take care! Preston

On another note.....that's a big ole truck in front of the maverick in that last shot. What's the story with it? Looks like it's in really good shape from what can be seen in the picture!
