    How did you end up with a bronze gear?
    You do know the distributor drives the oil pump and is most of the load on the gear!

    Well I took it out tonight and it did not act up anymore, maybe it's fixed? [​IMG] The first time I drove it after I pulled the plugs again and put antiseize on them, I swear it seemed to cough a little bit the first time I gave it some gas going up a modest hill, but I never really got on it. Tonight I had someone in the car so they could hear it, and I'll be danged if it would not do it. Got on it pretty hard and even got nice 2nd gear scratch, not a cough or hiccup one.

    Although MSD is awesome, I'd go with D.U.I. ( http://www.performancedistributors.com/forddui.htm )

    It's similar to HEI in that the coil is integral to the distributor cap and it's a simple 1-wire hook up. The only down side is that it's expensive ($360). Check out the link...
