Hey everyone, I just surfed into this site and I have found it to be quite cool. I don't own a Mav or Comet, but I am currently looking for a new project and it just could be one of these. (I just sold my '51 Tudor) My next project will be a street/strip car since we (married for 9yrs, no kids) have a cruiser car ('67 Galaxie 500 convert), so the next one will be for going fast . Mike, good luck in your search for a street/strip car. I believe the Maverick or Comet is an excellent choice for your project. The car's light weight lends itself to achieving a great h.p./weight ratio while still having all the 'creature comforts' (if so desired). Read these other guy's comments about the 'oogle factor' on the street. I think they might help in your decision making process. More importantly, you won't find a better support group!
