hi guys ,for the last 5 years my wife & 2 boys have been living in perth western australia, we come from new zealand where i brought my 1971 comet gt from a work mate whose uncle brought it new in boise idaho.i have owned it for about 12 years. have not had the time or money inbetween buying houses getting married & having kids to do much to it .have just started mods. rrs front ajustable struts &disc brakes & and a quick paint job.
Is this car right-hand drive? Does it have converted taillights? I had heard that American cars have to go through some pretty strict mods to be licenced there. Very interested in pics.
That's not one of the cars Jeff Ford was involved in with the RRS suspension, is it? I think they were in Australia building a Comet GT with RRS susp.
from Northeast Pennsylvania It's nice to see a fellow Maverick/Comet owner from "down under". I guess I'm located "way over yonder" or "somewhere that-a-way"
shouldn't be any problems with the laws over here, if the car is over 20 years old you don't have to do to much to them. i hadn't heard about rrs working on another comet, will have to find out more about it. as far as i know comets and mavericks weren't sold in australia or new zealand just imported, thats why it's so hard to find parts for them here.
i went to upload some pics to the gallery yesterday, but it said i didn't have permission to acess the page. what am i doing wrong.
