Haunted?

I fixed my ac today on my 77, but when the clutch was engaged it idled extremely rough. So being the inteligent person I am I adjusted my fast idle screw, I increased the idle rpm by maybe 75 rpm I didn't use a tach but that's what it sounded like. Anyway the weird thing is my power steering started working, I replaced the old worn out pump a month or so ago and with a functioning pump it would not give me power assist so turnin stopped at any rpm was almost impossible as was turning under 5mph above 5 it got easier just because there was less resistance... so I put extra load on my engine compensated and ps now works. Any ideas.

I know what happened now l, but I want to hear your ideas before I say what it was.

 

this is what should be on your car.
it bumps the idle up when you turn the A/C on.
