Well I finally got around to this idea I had to make a hammock in the trunk to store the chairs I carry around for car shows. I'm always afraid of them sliding around and denting my qtr panels. It seems the chairs fit real nice under the package tray between the wheel wells but would never stay there. Until this week I also never carried a spare tire or a jack so the chairs had free range of the whole trunk area. I got this real nice nylon net and cut it down to size. The ends were doubled over and hollow so I was able so slide a metal rod through from one end to the other to keep it from sagging. Mounted eyes under the package tray and to the bottom rear of the back seat and then used carabiner hooks to attach the net. It came out better than I had hoped. :thumbs2:

ouch!.. I can't believe you cut up that nice car just to mount hooks for a hammock. lol

I like the solid rods to keep it from just being a big round blob hanging there.

Nice job ... I may come up with a twist on this for my daily driver Explorer. Things tend to fly around the cargo area at times. :thumbs2:

Where did you get the netting?
