Thanks for replying but I need to know on the distributor cap how the numbers go. I know the firing order for the engine but what is it for the cap?
The cap should at least have #1 marked. Then stab the wire in that order, making sure you go in the correct rotational direction.
also good to keep in mind that diagram is useless if the disty was removed and the rotor clocked in a different location when reinstalled. IOW, you can clock them and put #1 anywhere you'd like for wire routing easthetics.
