The hunting is still fantastic for buyers. Just have to know how to work the system. There are always people that will pay way more than they should. You can't get everything at a deal ........

In the past couple weeks - I bought.

2 NOS tailllight bezels for $5.00 each

a super nice black 70 grabber grille for $22.50

and a pair of 70 chromed NOS side marker bezels for $15 each

I spend a lot of time wading through crap -- but to me it's like fishing -- sometimes the catch is good ......... :thumbs2:

Not always that way, I have actually shipped quite a few items and did not charge enough for shipping. So please do not consider all sellers in that group.

Now that ebay changed their policy a few months ago you have to list a shipping price things went bad because you cant ship an item for the same price to all places unless you are using USPS flat rate boxes. Before that I would not list a shipping cost and would wait until auction ended and get correct price(unless bidder as shipping cost first) to the zip for the item sold and I buy cardboard in bulk and make my own boxes, sometimes an inch bigger on a box can cost $20.00 or more extra to ship so I watch the sizes to make it as cheap as possible for buyer.

Ebay seller mysticcobra96, not selling much anymore but have in the past

Package it and ebay lets you put in the weight, box dimensions and your zip and then ebay calculates the shipping for each bidder and you will never come up short also it lets you add in a service fee that the buyer doesnt see if you want a little extra to cover time etc.....

Yeah that is all okay until a buyer wants multiple items, which has happened to me multiple times, I am not going to charge for each item individual when I can ship in one box.
I have had items all boxed and ready to go and then had to take them apart and box together. I dont charge anything for my time or materials I figure that is all part of the sell.

I understand, there is no perfect way. I have been selling on ebay for years and biggest problem I see is that they got greedy, listing fees, percentages of sales, then if you sell quite a bit everyone wants to pay with ppaypal and paypal takes a fee out on you so you end up paying out quite a bit so you better have a good product.

How true it is about ebay getting greedy, they lock it in so it is hard to pay with anything else but paypal which ebay owns and they keep changing the rules all the time for the good of the customer(yeah right), cant leave negative feedback for non paying or less than honest buyers, it has made it such a p.i.a. that it is no fun anymore.

Yes buyers that dont sell stuff also dont see what the seller ends up with in the end for the final price, dont get me wrong I am not complaining ebay has been good to me both buying and selling just that there is more to it than meets the eye.
