Just returned from Daytona Beach, and from their annual Dream Cruise. There were over 2,000 cars in attendance, and it was a seriously cool event. Recommend it to anyone who likes a good time. Held every 3rd weekend in Oct. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure. These first pics are from the Hooters across from Daytona Int. Speedway. They hosted the first show.
These next pictures are from the car show at City Island in downtown Daytona Beach. Lots of cars, and when it got dark, they showed two movies about the racing history of the beach, and at the speedway.
A few more from the City Island show. They also had the Army Volunteer rock band there, and they played for about 2hrs. Very good band!
Here are a few pics from around the Beach. This is a three day event, free to everyone. A local restaurant (Down the Hatch at Ponce Inlet) held a sock hop and 50's rock band and car show. Over 300 cars showed up. Awsome evening.
Well, as usual, my car was the only one there! I didn't see another Mav or Comet at the entire event. Maybe if there was one, they will chime in on this thread.
nope, yours was the only one there. we went and happened to see your car there but you werent around it at the time. i will be driving up for the turkey rod run on thanksgiving weekend though. hope to find some good stuff! huge swap meet
