I do that all the time. This winter I was sitting to the right of a Lightning at a stoplight, so I rolled down my window so I'd hear him when he took off. My wife wasn't in the car at the time, but I've done it with her in the car too. :bouncy:

Call me the black sheep... but if it were me and the guy tried to pass me in a cocky manner a second time....well....double-clutch it, and drop the hammer. Sorry guys. I'm all for safe and responsible driving, but there are plenty of us that build these cars to be opened up sometimes. I think I would have let my little bull run with that horse. At least long enough to get a grin on my face.

Very good decision. There is a stop light in the small town I live in. Actually there's several lights but at this one it's 2 lanes that turn into one. I always get in the left lane at the light because I know the right lane ends. It seems the ricers or women in Suburbans always get in the right lane instead of just pulling up behind my 34 year old F100. When the light turns they always gun it to jump in front of me. I usually just let them go but occasionally I will make them earn it. I never even let the secondaries come in but they will earn it. lol
    Is this wrong? lol

mav_blue_eyes , That could just feed fuel to the fire and get some one realy hurt. There are more than just you two on the road , young kids , familys ect. It would be very bad for one of ya to lose controll of the car and end up pushing a small family in a little car infront of an over loaded 18 wheeler with a tired driver behind the wheel.

Me and my mother (me driving) was going to berbon (the town just west of me) in the grand am gt a cuple of months ago. On the way there I was passing a 18 wheeler going ~ 75 mph or so , I wasn`t holding up traffick or anything at all. All the sudden some jurk in a riced out mazda or something comes speeding up behind me and go`s over to the slow lane to pass at a high rate of speed . When he got beside me I felt me foot go to the floor without even thinking. I could easly put him in his place with no problem at all . When I realized what I was doing I quickly backed off and let the jerk almost clip the front end of the car as he swerved infront of me as to not rear end the 18wheeler. If I would have done what I wanted to and not let him pass there would have been a very good chance of him slaming into the rear of the 18 wheelers trailor and making a big mess . Why do they let stupid people breed ?

People on the interstates are just in such a dang hurry these days. I hate getting out there in my old 71 F100. I can run with traffic fine I just don't like to run it that fast. It's much more comfortable at 65-70 mph and quieter.
If I pull into the hammer lane I go ahead and pass and get back over but if traffic is heavy and there is a line of cars in front of me I'll stay in the left lane for a while. There's nowhere to go anyway. Sure enough someone will craw all over my rear end wanting to get around me so the can crawl all over the guy in front of me. I keep several cars distance between me and the guy in front of me and that just burns the hot heads up. That's a couple car lengths farther up the road they could be I guess. They'll shoot into the right lane, fly by me, cutting me off to get back in the left lane and I'm still right there behind them.:coco:
