I've discovered the problem with my charging is in one of the fusible links....with the cable disconnected i read 12 volts between th cable and post but only with the key on. the problem is, that wire operates half the electronics in the car. I've tried unplugging everything in the entire car, but I can not figure out where the problem is. Any ideas or advice? Thanks!!
I would honestly replace all the fusible links. I think there are 3. They can look great on the outside and be totally corroded inside. All they are is a smaller guage wire than the harness they connect to. They are not expensive,and most auto parts stores carry them.
