Just pulled the tired 302 out of the Comet, We are going to install a performer 289 intake and edelbrock 500cfm carb, my question is manual or automatic choke? Is my 72 wired to run an electric choke? Thanks:huh:

if you want any sort of power... do not put the performer 289 on it... i have a performer on my engine.. and it drops off at 5200 rpms. i also have a edelbrock 600 carb.. and it runs good.. not sure if the 500 would be too little carb for a 302 or not

i run a manual choke on my car.. and it works fine.. i dont have to worry about the choke staying stuck open or stuck close
