    Morning All,
My question for you is, my C4 transmission seems to be leaking transmission fluid after each time that I take it out. Not a couple of drops here or there but a lot of fluid. I am looking around it to see where it is coming from and cant seem to find the problem. This is a 71 C4 transmission should there be a Modulator valve on this transmission and I have missed a line somewhere? For information purpose, I have a 351W engine with a TCI 3500 stall in my maverick.

Thanks in advance for the responses.

Have you pulled the inspection cover, it could be the front seal.

I just had mine rebuilt. It had a long history of leaking from the selector shaft.

When they put it back together, they goofed up on the seal for the reverse servo. Barfed out about a quart down my entire driveway. Only leaked in reverse.

    Could be the pan.
    Could be the dip stick.
    Could be the cooling lines.
    Could be the front seal.
    Could be the rear seal.
    Could be the spedo.

Get in there with some engine cleaner and make it so you can get an idea where it is coming from.
