    ..i have ...2057s...in mine (y)

i did the ...old style...LEDs and didn't like them. they just made a red dot in the center of the lens.

i might get (1) of the new style and see if i can see a pos. difference in the lighting. if i do i will let you know my findings. :Handshake

I have a pair with the studs removed as well (I also have a pair without the studs removed). It's nice when you can't make a decision. Here's are pics of both.

1980 lights will not be the same. 1978 was the last year the Bobcat's came with the good tail lights.

I have only confirmed that '75-'78 have these tail lights, and that '79 and up do not. I do not know if any older cars had them or not.

I do know that there is no such thing as a '70 Bobcat. I believe '74 was the first year of the Bobcat, and if so, it would seem to reason that a '74 Bobcat would have these lights also. But I'm just guessing.

If the car was marked as a '79, and had the style of tail lights we are talking about, then Pull-A-Part did not put the correct year on the sticker they put on the side of the car. Which is pretty common with them. I got a set of small bumpers and brackets off of a Comet they had listed on their site as a '74. It was actually a '71. :)

    along the same subject

i saw a bobcat today...pulled in and it was sitting with the hood up.
the guy that owned it said everyone that stops ask what is under the hood ,so he just pops the hood when he gets to work.
    it had a 302...t5...mini spool.
now the sad part...he told me he just sold a maverivk grabber just last weekend..$400/with grabber hood...
turned me on to a salvage yard that he said has 6-8 mav. comets....3-4 bobcats.
i will check it out tomorrow.....:tiphat:

Mike, he is buying the green comet GT that you were talking about off broadway...said it is a straight car.
