I called Jeff to see what he was doing today...he said "nothing" so i invited him down to give me a hand putting my Mav back together.
He got into town around lunch time so we met for lunch. I called Mike and he joined us...Earl was comming but couldn't make it at the last min.
we got a table outside in the sun at 5-Guys-burgers and fries.. sat around for about an hour shooting the breeze. the weather, food and company were great...:thumbs2:
Jeff and i left there (in his Mav) and came to my house....
we got the Mav back together and only need fluids (oil, water, transmission fluid and gear oil for the gear vendors) to finish...:bananaman

Sounds like fun. The weather was just awesome today. Sunny, and just the right temp. If it were like this year round, I wouldn't mind a bit! I spent most of the day laying in the dirt under my truck. New motor is in though.

How is that 5-Guys place? I just saw one this past weekend, and it reminded me of In-and-Out burger out in California. Just your basic burger and fries place without all the hype, and it smelled AWESOME.

The wife wanted Thai food instead, so I didn't get a chance to try the burger out...

So, when do you add the fluids and get that car back on the road?

kind of hard to hang out with anyone when i have maverick maniac (raymond) an hour away, mean maverick (dave) 3 hours away, and maverick357 (franky) 3 hours away so i was home cleaning up my mess and organizing parts in the garage, fiddled with 2 loose rocker arms and adjusted my trans linkage. Seemed to be a great day

We have a 5 Guys about a half block from work. When you go outside the smell of their sauteed onions fills the air and makes you hungry! Great greasy fries, and lots of them, too. Just order a small burger, though, because a regular comes with 2 patties. With all the extra stuff you can get, a regular burger won't fit in your mouth!!

Good deal on your car, Frank. Looking forward to seeing it sometime.

    Jim
