AAhh the sounds of spring/summer. Had the Mav covered and garaged due to bad weather, road and winter conditions. Uncovered it Sunday (57 degrees) and after a little coaxing, started it up and let it idle for a while. Can't wait for summer.:character0182:

    Aahhh the sounds

Yeah, the ice and snow cleared off the roads here last week Chew (My girlfriend’s teacup poodle.) & I ran around town to a few places. I’ve got to take a picture of him and post it, he lays on his back, feet scrunched against the back of the passenger seat, ears flopped over the front when riding. I don’t know if the nice growl of the engine reminds him of when he had a mom keeping him in line or he just digs the sound of a 302. He reminds me of Millhouse on the Simpsons I just wag the keys and say Chew want go for a ride and he’s like do I. Sadly the snows returned this week.

Started the Comet & let it run a few days ago. It's in the shed w/ a bunch of stuff piled on it,and hadn't been started in about a year.Squirted a shot of starting fluid in the carb, put in a battery and fired it up.Idled just fine, even on the old gas. Those darn-no a-count Holley carbs:rolleyes:.
