70 problem

    I own a canadian ford maverick 1970 170 (6) i am having a few problem with engine tempeature, because when the engine is not yet warm the car works well, but when the engine is warm the car extinguishes when it is in the drive mode.

    i have checked the carburetor, electrical system, spark plus (titanium), etc. but it still not working well...

    So if someone knows about it please contact me :clap:

    in my opinion, if there is good compression and the plugs stay clean (no oil leaking in valve seals) check for a vacuum leak. if that is ok buy a new carburetor. also, i am not sure how clean the gas is in colombia so i would change the fuel filter a few times a year. maybe even put one "in line"
    just my 2 cents worth.
