just got sept. 02 issue of mustang and fords magazine. they have an article on a 598 inch maverick that runs in the low 8's. it does it through mufflers and dot legal tires, factory lights and signals, and has a current license and registration. pretty wild. owned by tim thiel of washington state.:)

I used to have that car as my wallpaper, tough car. I was wondering is that a big block ford or dare I say chevy. I hope it's a ford. I got the pic from this site in the gallery. AWESOME car Tim!!! DUHHH, I guess it wouldn't be in a mustang and ford mag if it didn't have a ford motor, my mistake.

I'm not sure if it's running again, but I dought it. about 3 months ago it grenaded the motor, on anothet low 8 pass it destroyed everything below the intake:49: at that point it had grown to a 604 cubic inch and yes 385 based engine. I'll look around I even had pictures of the car before it was chassied he posts over on the 385 web site. I love that car.....when my car grows up I want it to be just like his:clap:
