Fellow near me in Sledge Miss. says he has a 3x2 302 intake he wants to sell so you know I got to go look at it in the mornin. No carbs or linkage and he is not sure what brand it is and I quote" its been in a box in my attic for 20 years." My ??? is what carbs work on this thing and can you get linkage to make it work. I think if I can it would be cool as all getout to put it on my 72. Be different anyway. Nothin like the look of 3 dueces on an engine....Jim

I've got the Pony Carb set-up on mine(well sort of)the engine is out of the car right now and will be back in soon.Pony Carbs 3x2 is not an original Ford unit.It uses Auto-Lite 2100's while the Ford originally used Holley's.He will sell you what you need to put yours together, plus IMO he has forgot more about carbs than most of us will ever know.If I were you and I was serious about doing the 3x2,I would get everything from him and use his expertise to help tune. This set-up is really cool, but can be an absolute nightmare if not tuned correctly.(staged/syncronized)One other thing,if you take it easy and keep your foot out of it,you can get about 26mpg.On the other hand,if you like to stomp on the gas-you can literally watch your gauge drop like a rock.It is after all 6 barrels when fully engaged.
