I am currently swapping my 1970 mav 200 for a 302. I can't find any motor mounts to bolt to the mav that will take the 302. If anyone has done this swap and had the same problems let me know where you got your mounts.

wow hey i went to our parts store and got them in stock for a ford windsor block to a 74 comet and cost me 24 bucks in the end for 2
Start here http://www.autokrafters.com/ search under 70 - 77 maverick than search for part number CR2069 on page 30 of the catalog page 32 using the pdf format.
just go to http://www.autokrafters.com/ and type CR2069 in the search field for part number on the upper left of the page.
i think he's talking about the frame side mounts, you must mean the actual motor mounts. i cant believe how expensive these are! they look pretty simple to cost $160! http://www.autokrafters.com/tpls/images/Cur/C/CR2069_FrameMounts.jpg
Do you need the motor mount or the frame mounts that the motor mounts attach to? Your local autoparts store will carry the motor mounts, but don't ask for 302 mounts for a 1970, as 1970's didn't have the 302 so it will not be listed in the parts book (unless the counter man is smart enough to know what you are doing). Ask for a 71 or 72 Maverick 302 motor mount, they will find it. As far as the frame mounts, you can find some from a donor car easy enough. Ebay has them often.
I got my frame mounts for $4 each, double hump trans cross member for $8 and the V8 frame brace for $8. I'll never forget walking out of the Pull-A-Part with a big stupid grin thinking, man, I just got the best deal ever. Maybe one of these days I'll actually use the stuff.
They may LOOK simple....but they are quite complicated. They have a slight "shift" to them that make it difficult to reproduce.....hence the cost.
Naw, I'm going to hold onto them. I want to do a EFI 5.0/T5 swap one of these days, and I know it's a very slim chance I'll ever happen into a deal like that again.
