Have you seen the full page article in the July issue of Mustangs & Fords about the "Twenty Grand Maverick"? It's under the "On the Market" page, and talks about how Maverick prices have snuck up on everyone, with prices going thru the roof. Good news or bad news? Sure want to be stocking up on those hard to get parts while their still available at affordable prices! Makes having one just a little more special. John B.

I haven't had a chance to see that yet. Where is he from? Is it Stock appearing or Custom built, like a Pro Street?

I'm not surprised, I got $24K in mine and I did all the work myself.

was it the yellow one that was going so high but later the "seller" and his auction were booted off ebay due to some questionable "bidding"... the one i was thinking about was around 3 months ago and had alot of newly registerd bidders with zero feedback.

When I get home I will ATTEMPT to scan the page for you guys. These are some of the pertinent details.

    • sold to a guy in Saginaw Mich for $20,100 on eBay
    • other guy backed off at around 18,000 (???)
    • seller was John Marshall of Galaxie Machinery in Bowling Green
    • car was an original rust free Grabber, excellent in and out
    • bone stock yellow '72 with stripes
    • bench, mini-console, auto, air, ps
    • 49,500 mi., all documents included
    • only non-stockpart were tires and exhaust
    • owner says "I had it on eBay. I had about a hanful of people who were kind of bidding against each other for the car" ????? Isn't that the general idea on eBay?
I don't know if this is legitimate, but that's the story according to Mustangs & Fords. Did they get dupped??? John B.

If the other buyer backed off at 18k, how did it get to 20k? Did they hafta bid in two grand increments?
