Going to redo a 71 Maverick that someone did a less than stellar job on. Does anyone know where I can find a factory assembly manual for this? Thanks for any possible help on this.
I have the CD and use it all the time. You might be able to get it cheeper at Rock Auto. http://www.faxonautoliterature.com/Service-Manuals/Ford/Maverick Micah
Sorry, misunderstood the term. I took it that he was looking for a shop manual. Never seen an "assembly manual", not even one for my '63 Jag. Jag made a "factory service manual" that tells you how to take the entire thing apart but it is still essentially a shop manual.
Maverick Assembly Manual Yes, the link is for shop repair manuals. The assembly manual would have been what they used at the factory to put that bugger together(fit, tolerances, etc). All aspects of chassis, body, etc. Help!
Assembly manual Much appreciated. I will consider this. Still want to exhaust all possibilities to find vehicle specific if at all possible.
I've been looking for one for almost 20 years, I even had an engineer at the St.Thomas Assembly Plant look for one in all the stuff they had at the plant, with no luck. I've only ever seen one..and I doubt he'd sell it cheap..you'd be better off just asking us, what you need to know.
Assembly manual Thanks. I do appreciate the offer for assistance. But I really would like to have a copy on hand while working on this. Is there any way we could get one, or at least a full copy of it?
And I agree with what Dave said in the previous post... ...but here's something else you might want to consider JM: ...there may be good news...have you not looked on the 2nd page of these threads??? : "Maverick/Comet Factory Body/Assembly/Installation Manuals Finally Made Public" http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=96470
Look on ebay, that is where I found mine. It was a complete set for 35.00, did not include shipping. It was a set of 6 books. Published by FORD. Good luck man.
