    Is the rear bumper of a 77 maverick identical to the rear bumper of a 75 comet? I found a decent driver quality for $50 and but I don't want to buy it if it is not an exact match. Thanks

    where are you? I happen to have a nice rear big bumper off of a 74 comet you can HAVE the only catch is you have to come get it.
    I imagine shipping would cost you double what you could buy that other one for

    @Junrai

    Wow. That's very nice of you to offer that! I'm in South Central Pennsylvania. Is there a way to calculate shipping from your address to mine? If so I can pm my address to you. Do you have any good pics showing all parts of the bumper? Any imperfections, dings, scratches etc? Chrome still good? Pitting?

    74's, have a side bolt, not found in other years of big bumpers.

    Well I suppose I could just put two extra bumper bolts in to fill the holes.

    I have matching bumpers from a 1976 that you can have. If you take one, you take both, just come and get them.

    Thank you Pony Express, I definitely appreciate the offer as well. I'd like to hear from junrai about shipping his bumper and see the condition. What do you mean by matching set? Front and rear? Also what are the conditions of each?

    Comet4me, sounds like you're pretty close to me. Wish I still had all the car parts I use to have in Seattle, WA. I could've hooked you up.... I was unable to bring many parts with me to Pittsburgh....

    It is the same bumper. Need to verify if it has bumper guards or rub strips and if you want those or not.

    For $50...can't really beat it. Nobody will be able to ship you one from California any cheaper.

    Better get the car running/driving first. :D

    Front and rear, unblemished.

    I don't keep garbage around and for FREE I wouldn't expect such a question since I'm trying to help you - I don't need them, you evidently do.

    But, let's just forget about it.

    @ Pony Express. Sorry for upsetting you, I wasn't being rude by any stretch,was just asking a question about condition. Everyone has a different opinion on condition levels. I appreciate the offer, no doubt.

    To clarify a little. I have a decent rear bumper on my car now. It is pretty good, but could be better. It is a good core trade with some surface rust, pitting and some splits in the chrome. Looks great from a distance, but up close it isn't so great. So what I'm looking to do is find one better than my existing piece. That's why I was asking which bumpers are compatible with my 75 Comet.

    Did you get an engine yet?
