Oh the perils of posting on a discussion board. Someone might have an opinion on my opinion. The thread wasn't off topic, people just expanded the topic.

Frank did an interesting mod, and it sparked people to talk about not just the mod he did but ways they could improve on the mod in their own builds.

That is kind of what this type of forum is for. So I kind of disagree with the idea that the thread went off topic. Unless the topic was supposed to be just worshipping Frank's mod. In which case it did go off topic.

    ON TOPIC:
Frank I really like the mod, however I feel like your back-up light solution is unsafe. If I was behind you and you started backing up I wouldn't be able to see your lights. And I bet they don't meet the NHTSA guidelines for reverse lights.

That's your prerogative to do your car the way you want. Just sharing my thoughts on your mod. I do really dig the sequential taillights. Just think bigger back-up lights would be safer.

I like backup lights so that I can see when I'm backing up at night. I couldn't care less if others can see them or not. I have them for my benefit. If someone can't see that a car is moving (and moving backwards), they need to pay a little more attention.

My backup lights haven't worked for years, and I cannot figure out where the problem is.

I like to see when someone is backing up, so I don't hit them if they don't see me coming.

Not a legal thing in Texas, but I would really like for them to work. Kinda hard to replace a quarter panel, trunk lid, and small bumper. Much easier to have working reverse lights.

    Oops. Off topic, again.
