As a huge Maverick/Comet fan and a huge fan of Steve McQueen's BULLITT, I have been wondering if someone has ever taken a Maverick or Comet and designed it to look like the Bullitt Mustang? I know the idea is kind of out there, but I think it might look good. I figured if someone took the time to paint a Maverick in the Forest Green and did a few of the other accessories from the Bullitt car, it would look pretty cool. If you have any information on anyone attempting or completing this kind of car, it would be greatly appreciated. :thumbs2:

I'm surprised no one has done it yet considering Ford gave us a current version with the Mustang

    you're right about that

but I do think that if someone took the Bullitt theme and applied it to a maverick or comet, it would be pretty cool

if you take away the "mustang" part of the Bullitt mustang, it leaves you with a nice green paint job, a flat black tail panel, a nice set of wheels, and a few other little bonuses throughout

apply these to a Maverick, you've got yourself something special :racingflag:

That's not what makes it Bullit. But, I agree a Bullit inspired Mav/Comet would be cool.

There is a member that has a highland green Maverick with torque thrusts that looks really good but the frt wheels are narrow. He was trying to sell it a while back to build a drag car I think.

My thoughts exactly. The idea of making a "Bullitt Maverick" is not so great. Like, why not just buy a First Gen Mustang if you wanted a Bullitt car? What I'm saying is a Bullitt inspired Maverick, would be pretty amazing

I was just saying that it would be a Maverick not a Mustang, Nova ...

Oh well, to each his own.

Yes, Bullit inspired - a Maverick would make a nice theme even nicer.
