LOLOLOL!! Very funny. Different era. If she doesn't want me to post pics, I won't. I think I've posted the close ups. If I did it right.
I figured!! It's all good!! Thanks for everyone's help! Can you see the horrible pics? Still trying to figure out how. D'uh!!!!
Heres the moulding you need on EBAY. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1976-19...Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae66e4342&vxp=mtr
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now if only I had the guy that's doing the works email. I think this is it! Expensive though. Dang. Ya'll are the best!
Welcome aboard! And don't worry, most people on this board are pretty cool. Let us know if we can help. And that's really not a bad price on that molding, especially since its NOS. Compared to today's cars and prices, that's a steal. Best of luck with the car.
My Mom thought it was a good price. Hope he doesn't sell it before we hear back from the guy who'll put it on.
Thanks Thanks so much everyone!!! The one from ebay is now here and my Mom is very happy! We just need to wait for the auto body guy to put it on and paint the vinyl strip and all is good. You people rock!!!!!
If they are not the same colour and you still have the original strips, you can switch them out and use very tiny screws from the back-side of the chrome to attach the old vinyl to the new chrome. I had the same trim on my 77 4-door and I got in an accident and ruined the front passenger fender. I was lucky enough to find another fender with that wide moulding, but mine was white and the donor was brown. This matched the rest of the car better, and will last better than paint IMHO. If you do not have the original vinyl, then painting the new stuff isn't the end of the world.
