I needed to remove the pilot bearing from my 302 roller that originally had a 5 speed and I am replacing it with a C-4. I came across the following you tube video and I tried it today and it works - a 5/8" x 3" bolt and half a hot dog bun and in 10 minutes the bearing was out and NO mess. I had never heard of this before. FYI -- John
Yup, that and a clutch alignment stub and they'll generally pop out on the first two or three hits...
Well.. It would take more than I can eat... So there's some left to do the job! Neat trick though, never seen it before
No biggie, a little carb or brake cleaner and it's gone, really should be cleaned no matter what method one chooses... The pilot bearing requires grease so a little left in the hole isn't a problem...
